CALL 800-DETROIT | VISITDETROIT.COM | 31 HOP ONLINE TO EXPLORE MORE. visitdetroit.com/destination-districts CAFÉ MUSE A Royal Oak staple for 10 years, Café Muse is always evolving. Its newest offering is Dottie's, a casual southern bistro located in the renovated bar area of the restaurant. The unique menu features locally grown ingredients and a propensity toward "natural cuisine." This is the spot where the French toast is accented with a five-spice pear nage, a scramble is made with exotic mush- rooms and boursin cheese, and the side sausage is a blend of chicken, apple and Gouda. 418 S. Washington Ave., Royal Oak, 48067; 248-544-4749 or cafemuseroyaloak.com LE ANDOS CAFE Salted caramel French toast. S'mores pancakes. So many omelet and hash creations. Yes, please! The strawber- ries and cream crepes are a delightful way to start your day — thin crepes stuffed with fresh strawberries and sweet cream cheese, sprin- kled with powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate and strawberry syrups. Portions are big enough at Le Andos to share, but you probably won't want to. 15433 Hall Road, Macomb, 48044; 586-566-5292 or leandoscafe.com OMELETTE & WAFFLE CAFE This cozy little gem in the heart of happening down- town Plymouth is bent on perfecting brunch. Order eggs any style (the hippie hash is groovy), generous omelets, Belgian waffles and crepes piled high with fresh fruit — "never flat, always fluffy." Salads, sandwiches and house- made chili for lunch. The people-watching from the patio is almost as good as the food. Westchester Square Mall, 580 Forest Ave., Plymouth, 48170; 734-454-6510 or omelettewafflecafe.com GLASS ONION GRIDDLE Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And anyone who says otherwise hasn't eaten here. No better way to start your morning than by digging into a heaping plate of the Glass Onion Griddle's scrumptious corned beef hash and eggs. It's so good, you'll dare to demand more and have to unbutton your pants in anticipation. 6828 Allen Road, Allen Park, 48101; 313-558-9618 or glassoniongriddle.com THE CLIQUE Breakfast is more than bacon, eggs and toast at The Clique. It is taste bud- dazzling Mexican omelets, corned beef hot skillets, Delmonico steaks with eggs and so much more. Lunch options also avail- able. Diners may enter The Clique hungry, but they always leave full, satisfied and daydreaming about their next visit. 1326 E.
